A tradition Harris Ferry has done for several years now is place Betsy Ross flags at the graves of our Patriot ancestors. Registrar and Genealogist Curtis Aumiller placed 44 flags at Paxton Presbyterian Churchyard in Harrisburg, and Treasurer Denny Bobb placed 27 flags at Hummelstown Cemetery in Hummelstown.
The Chapter left the Betsy Ross flags out until Flag Day, which were then replaced with 50 Star flags.
A notable burial at Paxton Presbyterian is John Harris Jr., Revolutionary War Patriot and whom our chapter is named after!
