Join the SAR

For more information on becoming a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, review the criteria established by the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution and Pennsylvania Society of the Sons of the American Revolution.

If you are a male 18 years or older, and can prove your lineage to a Patriot, please contact us at harrisferry@passar.org. Junior members, that is applicants under 18, can still apply via a parent or guardian at a discounted rate. Family plans are also available for multiple applicants to the same Patriot at a discounted rate. Life memberships are also available.

Join the CAR and DAR

Harris Ferry Chapter SAR partners with the Harrisburg Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution on most events and programs. Any woman 18 years or older who can prove lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence is eligible to join the DAR. Harris Ferry SAR and Harrisburg DAR have also sponsored the creation of the John Harris Jr. Society Children of the American Revolution! Any boy or girl under the age of twenty-two is eligible for membership in the National Society of the Children of the American Revolution under very similar criteria to that of the SAR and DAR.
