On November 18, 2025, President Lemon attended the Highspire Borough Council Meeting to present three officers with the SAR Law Enforcement Commendation Medal.  Officer Robert Schmidt of the Highspire Police Department, Officer Scott Schaeffer of the Steelton Police Department, and Officer Tyler Snyder of the Steelton Police Department were all awarded for their noble actions on and off duty.  The three officers, having responded to a domestic violence case, found an injured puppy at the residence.  The three officers paid out of their own pockets to cover the veterinarian bills.  Lemon presented all three officers with framed awards for their commitment not only to their duties but to their devotion to the public.
