Harris Ferry was invited to the Captain Leon Lock Veterans Memorial at the Hampden Township Veterans Park this weekend.  Harris Ferry Secretary Coburn is also on the HTVRC and requested a Color Guard for the dedication of a Liberty Tree.  President Lemon commanded the Color Guard with Washingtonburg Compatriots carrying the colors.

Several guests speakers spoke on the ideals encompassed by Liberty Trees. their history, as well as personal experiences.  Lemon came to the podium after the DAR.

SAR Color Guard presented and retired the Colors at the memorial, and then the entire crowd headed over to the official America 250 Liberty Tree.  Colors here we presented by the York Camp of Heroes of ’76, Harrisburg Chapter of National Sojourners.  The America 250 PA Committee presented the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania the Certificate of Authenticity.
