DESCRIPTION:You are cordially invited to a Bicentennial Reception commemorating the Marquis de Lafayette’s historic visit to the new state capital in Harrisburg. \nThe reception will take place in historic parlors restored to their appearance when Governor Schulze hosted Lafayette on February 1\, 1825. Festive hors d’oeuvre\, champagne\, and aperitifs will be served.  Music will be available as well as tours of the McCormick Riverfront Library. Period Early American or French Attire is encouraged but not required. \n  \nSaturday\, February 1\, 2025\n6:00pm – 9:00pm (arrive 15-30min early please)\nMcCormick Riverfront Library/Haldeman Haly House/Kunkel Foundation Community Room\n27 N Front St\, Harrisburg\, PA 17102 \n  \nTickets are $75 per person\, with an option to be listed in the program as Patron for an additional $50.
